Who We Are
Our Story
The formation of Stoke UK Diaspora Sacco was first discussed during a UKAAF Christian fellowship meeting held in Stoke-on-Trent, UK on 1st October 2016. The pioneering team envisioned an organization based on Cooperative as well as Adventist principles that would foster a saving culture among members, offer affordable credit, provide viable investments and effect social change.
Stoke UK Diaspora Sacco was registered on 9th June 2017 in accordance with The Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490, Section 6 (3) of the Co-operative Societies Act. We are a fast-growing, well-managed organization currently drawing members from Europe, the USA, Canada Australia, Middle East, and Kenya. Our Membership is open to all Kenyans regardless of race, tribe, gender, political affiliation, religion, or job status.
Our Sacco has two arms: Savings & Credit arm and the Investment arm. The Savings & Credit arm enables each member to save at least Kshs 10,000 monthly, earn annual interest, and borrow loans of up to four times their savings. The Investment arm engages in viable investment ventures that generate dividends for members based on their share ownership. In December 2020 we launched our Ten-year strategic plan projecting a decade of tremendous growth in membership and capitalization.
